The event in Gorican was the first tournament of this year’s Speedway Grand Prix series. Bartosz Zmarzlik took fourth place.
In the second race, Bartek started from the first position at the kerb. Szymon Woźniak had the best start, but he was quickly overtaken by Zmarzlik, who won by a large margin. Andrej Lebedev won one point, and the last rider to finish the race was Leon Madsen.
Race five ended with Michelsen’s triumph. After a good start, the Dane remained in the lead till the end scoring three points. Zmarzlik earned two points and Huckenbeck got one. Unfortunately for Martin Vaculik, his motorcycle developed a defect, which prevented him from finishing the race.
In the tenth heat, Bartosz Zmarzlik showed great reflexes and won his second victory in Gorican. Robert Lambert scored two points. However, along the track, Dominik Kubera lost the fight for one point to Matej Zagar.
The fifteenth run had a very interesting course. The competitors shuffled several times during the race. Ultimately, Holder proved to be the best, Doyle was second and Lindgren was third. Despite his very ambitious riding, Bartek arrived last.
However, the twentieth race ended with the Pole’s victory. With eleven points in the regular part, Zmarzlik secured his advancement to the semi-finals.
In the semi-final, Bartek made a great start and won without any major problems and advanced to the grand final. Lindgren was second. However, Robert Lambert and Leon Madsen were eliminated from further competition.
Unfortunately, the final did not go as Zmarzlik expected. The Pole was slow at the start, and on the first turn his motorcycle wheel lifted up and he finished in the last place. The triumphant rider in Gorican was Jack Holder. Jason Doyle was second and Fredrik Lindgren third.
