The eighth tournament of this year’s Speedway Grand Prix series is already history. Bartosz Zmarzlik took third place in Cardiff.
The fourth heat had to be repeated, because Holder fell on the track in the first attempt. The referee found Fredrik Lindgren responsible for the Australian’s fall and excluded him from the replay. In the second attempt, Zmarzlik was legging behind at the start, but along the track he outperformed Jacek Holder and earned two points. The winner was Mikkel Michelsen.
In heat seven, Bartek was again slow to react at the start. After a nice fight, however, he proved better than Maciej Janowski and scored one point. In the replay, Max Fricke triumphed over Patryk Dudek.
In the tenth race, Bartek started from a poor third position. The Pole got into second place on the first turn and started chasing Robert Lambert. Despite very ambitious riding, Zmarzlik did not manage to overtake the Briton. Nilsson won one point, and Worrall came last.
The sixteenth run had to be repeated. Tai Woffinden, who was in the lead, lost control of the motorcycle and fell. The Briton was not allowed to start again. Bewley won this race ahead of Zmarzlik and Lebedev.
Unfortunately, the seventeenth race did not go as Bartek intended. The Pole made a poor start again and only managed to overtake Madsen before the finishing line. Vaculik was the winner and Doyle arrived second.
Fantastic ride by Zmarzlik in the second semi-final race! The Pole, starting from the worst third position, accelerated brilliantly and won the race. Together with Bartek, Martin Vaculik advanced to the final. Robert Lambert and Patryk Dudek were eliminated from further competition.
The final race was quite interesting. Bartosz Zmarzlik got off to a good start, but then dropped to fourth place. The tournament in Cardiff was won by Martin Vaculik. Jack Holder took second place on the podium. At the very finish line, Bartek snatched the third place in this competition from Fredrik Lindgren.
