Bartosz Zmarzlik was victorious also in Gorzów, in the fifth tournament of this year’s Speedway Grand Prix series.
Bartek competed for the first points in this tournament in the third run. Unfortunately, Zmarzlik stayed back at the start and took over only Michelsen along the track. The race ended with Max Fricke winning ahead of Maciej Janowski.
In the fifth race, Bartosz Zmarzlik made a very good start from the fourth position and won his first victory in this competition. Szymon Woźniak, who was in second place after the start, made a mistake on the straight and reached the finishing line last. Jason Doyle scored two points and Leon Madsen scored one.
The eleventh run was Bartek’s tour de force. He made a good start from the second position and scored another three points in this tournament.
The sixteenth race ended with another triumph for Bartosz Zmarzlik. Behind our representative’s back, there was an interesting fight for two points. The other riders rode very close to each other, but ultimately Holder proved to be better. The last point was scored by Lambert. Vaculik arrived at the end.
Bartek won again in the eighteenth run. An interesting duel for two points was fought by Dan Bewley and Tai Woffinden. The latter rider turned out to be better. Patryk Dudek arrived last. Zmarzlik won thirteen points and easily advanced to the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final, Bartosz Zmarzlik turned out to be the best rider. Jason Doyle also advanced to the grand final. Holder and Janowski finished their participation in the competition in Gorzów in this race.
The final had to be replayed. Frederik Lindgren went down on the first attempt but was not excluded. Unfortunately, the most important run of the evening had to be interrupted again after Jason Doyle’s fall.
The Australian was excluded from the next replay by the referee. As they say: third time lucky. Luck was indeed on Bartek’s side, who first lagged back at the start, but then managed to overtake first Lindgren and then also Madsen, and win the competition.
