Born on April 12, 1995 – comes from Kinice, although he was born in Szczecin. “F16”, as the fans call him, initially rode on a minitrack in Wawrów. He got his licence at the age of 15 and made his league debut in 2011. From the beginning of his career, he was recognised as a great sports talent. His successes so far guarantee him a place in the history of Polish and world speedway. He won the junior world championship, he was also the European champion under 19. He is a multiple medallist of the Junior World Team Championships and Junior European Team Championship. In the Speedway Grand Prix cycle, Bartosz Zmarzlik has won all kinds of medals. He made his debut as a regular participant in these prestigious competitions in 2016 and won the bronze medal while still a junior. The speedway rider is a multi-medallist in all possible Team and Individual Polish Championships at the junior and senior level. Zmarzlik also made history by winning the Golden Helmet tournament several times in a row. The rider also triumphed several times in the PGE Individual International Extraleague Championship. For years, Zmarzlik has also been one of the most effective speedway riders in PGE Ekstraliga. Several times at the end of the tournament he turned out to be the best rider in this competition. Bartek also won the 85th Plebiscite for the 10 Best Polish Athletes of 2019 organized by Przegląd Sportowy. The speedway rider has already taken a high place in this most prestigious sports plebiscite in our country several times. In 2019, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, awarded Bartosz Zmarzlik the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Bartek is one of the youngest people honoured with this high distinction.
